Paloma & Josh’s Story
We met in 2019 when I was a flight attendant and Josh worked for a food truck. They say when you know, you know… By 2020, with the world in lockdown, we moved in together and got engaged not long after. As we began planning our wedding, we initially booked the perfect and most affordable venue we could find in Austin. However, after adding up the costs of other vendors, we ended up having to cancel and pivot. We ended up with an intimate, beautiful celebration that felt authentic to us without having to sacrifice our savings.
When we discovered the Village Venue and historic chapel in Salado, it immediately felt like a hidden gem waiting to be restored. The town’s rich history and charm made it the perfect place for any event, and the chapel’s potential was undeniable. Having navigated the challenges of wedding planning ourselves, we understood how difficult it can be to find a venue that balances beauty and affordability.
From that experience, Village Venue & Chapel was born (or restored): a place where everyone can celebrate and host in a beautiful, meaningful way without compromising their budget. We’re dedicated to providing a space that feels just right—unique, charming, and accessible.
